Our Soap is not only safe to use, but has so many skins loving ingredients; nutrients, vitamins and minerals that soothes, rejuvenates and leaves your skin smooth and soft.
The process of naturally formulating, designing and handcrafting is an age-old technique and also that lends itself beautifully to making artisan soap now using more modern tools, and equipment. naturally derived colours and techniques. Lather Up strives to use sustainable ingredients, although difficult to lessen the carbon footprint it is important to be more eco conscious and work consistently with top end ingredients that are stable and safe to use; cosmetic grade to naturally derived, plant based, organic, and or using Wildly Crafted ingredients from Canadian suppliers and other sources.
Our Products are Paraben, Phthalate, Sulfate, and SLS FREE. Some soap ingredients do include Fragrance Oils, and Mica therefore if you are looking for something to use on sensitive skin, please inquire of ingredients. We do offer Non- Scented Products for those who are fragrance sensitive. We work with 100% Pure Essential Oils and or Wildly Crafted Essential Oils (which are Organic without the certification) as well as great skin loving ingredients.

Soap is naturally anti-bacterial, without using synthetic chemicals to achieve this like commercial store-bought soap, which really isn't soap at all because store bought soap uses synthetic detergents and chemicals to achieve bubbles and lather. Our soap uses ingredients that are mostly plant based, wildly crafted and naturally derived that is safe to use derived mostly from coconut and sustainable palm. Lather Up soap does not make any claims that our soap improves acne, eczema nor psoriasis even though some may feel a few of our soaps do, for then we would be considered a drug under health Canada.
How do you make soap? Handcrafted soap goes through a natural process when an Alkaline ingredient Sodium Hydroxide (LYE) goes through a chemical reaction when mixed with oil and water; the Lye molecules make new oil molecules and this is when saponification process occurs; producing glycerol and soap, making a pure soap product as it cures over 4-6 weeks. The end product no longer has lye in it.

Our products are perfect for your personal but also make excellent and unique gifts or party favors! You may have combination skin or looking for something for sensitive skin for even baby. We have bars for hardworking hands and Handcrafted Shampoo bars, Bath bomb made with minerals that rejuvenate the skin!!

Commercial soap truly is not "soap" it is much cheaper to get a lather and bubbles using synthetic detergents, but these "soaps" are not good for the skin and may strip the skin of natural oils we use as a protective barrier.
